International Client Meetings

Over half of SkyLaw’s clients are outside of Canada and I am a big believer in meeting with them in person.

I have been on the road quite a lot this year meeting with clients in Paris, London and Atlanta and connecting with former colleagues from Sullivan & Cromwell and Davies.

My travels will continue in May with a trip to New York City to attend the annual Sullivan & Cromwell alumni event, and then on to Boston for client meetings and a baseball game at Fenway Park.

Social Enterprise Legislation

I was thrilled to participate on a panel exploring potential dual purpose corporate legislation for the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.

The stakeholder panel members explored potential legislation for dual purpose corporations and offered insights to develop a more sound public policy.

The report has recently been released on the regulatory registry for public comment. To check it out, please click here.

The Canadian Dealmakers Awards

I want to thank Computershare for the invitation to the Canadian Dealmakers of 2014 Awards ceremony.

The winning transactions were selected by a panel of prominent Canadian business leaders and each winner was very deserving of the special recognition.

For more information on the awards, visit Canadian Dealmakers of 2014 or click here to see a full description of all of the winners.
