Kevin West Quoted in Canadian Lawyer Magazine

Kevin West was recently quoted in Canadian Lawyer Magazine: InHouse about the roles of external and in-house counsel. The article, entitled “Defining roles”, raises questions about the relationships between in-house counsel, audit committees and external lawyers, and asks whether or not these roles are always clearly defined.

SkyLaw believes that it is important for external counsel to be very familiar with the business and commercial terms of a transaction.  We often get engaged at an early stage in a transaction so that we can be at the table as the deal evolves and provide added value throughout the process.
