Kevin West Speaks at the Canadian Law Firm Leadership Forum

I am pleased to have been invited to speak at the Canadian Law Firm Leadership Forum at the St. Andrew’s Club in Toronto, hosted by Insight.  SkyLaw was the “case study” for the Strategy and Strategic Planning Panel – Preparing the Firm for the Future.  As part of the panel, I discussed many of the trends in the legal industry that lead to the formation of SkyLaw, including new technologies, the disaggregation of legal services and increased conflicts at large firms.  These trends together with a growing pool of talented retiring partners who want to continue to work and the drive by clients for more flexible fee structures allow SkyLaw to gain market share.
